We are looking for several

Computer Support Operators (m/f)

Your job will be to solve consumers' computer problems through 'remote assistance' tools. You
will therefore work from home in your own time (you will probably be in front of the computer anyway). You receive your tasks from a supervisor via instant messenger, and you place a call to the customer via a VoIP softphone installed on your computer (you do not have to worry about the bill).

Hardware/software/network requirements
PC with minimum 3 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM with 1280x1024 minimum resolution and capability for dual monitor display. Minimum OS of Windows XP SP2 with latest security patches applied. Recommend 17” screen(s) or greater. Laptops are only allowed if used with a docking station and external screen(s).
Headset
Broadband connection (1 MB down / 512 kbps up)

Language requirements
One of the following: English/French/German (any additional European language welcome)

Skill requirements
Attention to detail
Ability to work with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Multitasking
Ability to translate tech language into plain language
Excellent telephone manners
Home networks (wire and wireless) using multiple network technologies such as switches, routers, printer, etc.
Networking technologies TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls
Internet connectivity using cable, DSL, dial-up
Consumer peripherals – printers, scanners, fax, MP3 players, digital cameras, cellphones, PDAs
Troubleshooting Windows XP platform to registry level
Internet security in areas of virus and spyware

Availability requirements
At least 10 hours per week
Willingness to work in shifts (we need to provide support 24/7)

Nice to have
Previous experience in consumer technology support
Completed courses in technology related fields and customer service. MSDST, A+, HDI Support Center Analyst or other relevant certification a plus

Pay per hour: 25 EUR / 40 USD / 40 CHF / 20 GBP + Bonus
